How the fees are worked out
- Referral fee: a percentage of the sale price, set by category. Walmart’s contract categories do not match the item setup categories one for one, so check a settlement report if a fee looks off.
- WFS shipping weight: the greater of unit weight and volumetric weight (length x width x height in inches, divided by 300), plus 0.25 lb for packaging, rounded up to the next pound. Items under 1 lb are charged on unit weight alone.
- Oversize fee: $4.00 or $35.00 on top of the fulfillment fee once an item passes Walmart’s size limits. It applies to units up to 150 lb.
- Storage: charged per cubic foot per 30 days. The calculator pro-rates by the days you enter.
- Sales tax: all amounts, including Walmart’s fees and what Walmart pays you, are before GST/HST and provincial sales tax.

- This is not an official Walmart tool. Jones & Cosman CPA is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Walmart. The calculator is built from Walmart’s published fee guides.
- Rates were last checked on October 2, 2026. Walmart can change its referral fees, WFS fees, surcharges and promotions at any time, and this page may be out of date when you read it.
- Your category may be different. Walmart assigns the referral fee category under its Retailer Agreement, and it does not always match the category you picked at item setup.
- Your measurements may be different. WFS charges on the weight and dimensions Walmart records when it receives your item, which can differ from what you enter here.
- Discounts are not automatic. Promotions and WFS discounts depend on your account’s eligibility and Walmart’s terms. Do not count on one until you see it applied in Seller Center.
- Sales tax is not included. Every amount on this page, including Walmart’s fees, is before GST/HST and provincial sales tax.
- Some costs are not included. The calculator leaves out returns and refunds, removal and disposal fees, Walmart’s prep and inbound carrier services, advertising and currency conversion.
- Storage is simplified. The calculator pro-rates storage by the days you enter. Walmart bills storage on its own schedule and inventory records.
- Verify before you rely on it. Compare the results with Walmart’s current referral fee guide, its WFS fee guide, and the settlement and fee reports in your own Seller Center account. Where they disagree with this calculator, Walmart’s numbers are the right ones.
